When planing your next trip though wine country I would highly recommend heading North of San Francisco to the Nappa Vally where the good life can be easily defined. Monterey can best be described as the pink Zinfandel of wine country or by comparing it to similar cities such as Daytona or Myrtle Beach. The main attractions are the Fisherman's ...

Carmel by the Sea was amazing
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/28/07
We had such a wonderful time. The weather was sunny but cool and the coastline was magnificent. We stayed at a charming bed and breakfast just up from the beach called Carmel Stonehouse Inn. It was a delight and really set the mood for our entire trip. It was a great stepping off point for walks in town, the beach and dining in the evening. We highly recommend a visit.

Paradise Close to Home

Ths small city is definately big at heart, We stayed at the Hansel and Gretel Inn, right on the beach, quaint cottage with the most beautiful miniature furniture, and cozy surroundings. For those who love fresh seafood you can fly right into San Fransico and then continue going south for about 45 minutes....here you'll find a little bit of heaven.
This place is not so many other expensive, artificial, little places (we have a few where I'm from too). They are 'nice' and clean and safe, but they have no character.

Walking down the main street, Ocean Avenue, folks alike say things like "good morning" or "what a great afternoon" and these are complete strangers. To name so many great experiences in Carmel, this could be a novel but one really ...

I love everything about this place. The town has charm. The beaches are unique. I only wish that I had bought that house 20 years ago!
