We loved every moment of this vacation from start to finish, we stayed in the Makaha Resort in the Makaha Valley approx. ten miles from downtown Honolulu which really gave us a good feel of the true hawaii experience and life style excellent beaches less the crowds, and just minutes away from all the attractions, we are still in awe, and very grateful to have had this experience.

This was our second time visiting Waikiki and we had an amazing time. The beach and ocean and weather were all perfect day or night. We stayed at the Pacific Beach Hotel and had an ocean front view. The first time we stayed at the Park Shore Waikiki with an ocean view room which was equally beautiful.

Amazing place to visit- you can be in a city with heaps of everything you can imagine packed with tourists (like visiting Las Vegas, Los Angeles, or any other major city) OR you can take a 30 min drive to anywhere else on the island with sand, beach, mountains, water falls, where it's much more private and secluded. Oahu is paradise, in a mile you can go from the mountains to the beach and never leave the jungle. I snorkeled Haunuma Bay (don't think I spelled it right), visited the Polynesian Cultural Center, and went swimming with wild dolphins on the best of the west tour with sail hawaii. The dolphin swim was by far the best experience so far this lifetime, highly recommended for anyone even remotely interested.
